What is Phishing?

Phishing happens when scammers contact potential victims and persuade them to transfer funds or cough up their credentials for coin wallets. Crypto phishing can happen through email, SMS, social media dating apps, forums, and even random website chats online.  

The goal of phishing is to steal sensitive data like login information or to install malware on the victim's machine. The information is then used to access important accounts and can result in identity theft and financial loss.
